Introduction


Nicholson College/Sec. School is named after Sir Charles Nicholson, a prominent contributor for the establishment of Sydney University. The college is an English medium, co-educational institute affiliated to Tribhuvan University. It is established to devote quality education in all levels from +2 to masters. Currently it is running +2 in Management, Bachelors in Business Studies (BBS), Bachelors in Business Management (BBM) and Masters in Business Studies (MBS) programs. The +2 program strictly follows the curriculum of National Education Board whereas Bachelors and Masters Programs are affiliated with Tribhuvan University. After successful completion of 21 years, the college develops state of art infrastructure to conduct new programs.     B.Sc.(CSIT) is the proposed program of the college.

It emphasizes to become the center of learning for young, dynamic and progressive students, who are determined to face the challenges created by the changing environment of the society. BBS (Bachelors in Business Studies)
Bachelors in Business Studies is a 4-years degree course of Tribhuvan University. This program aims to develop required attitudes, abilities and practical skill in students, which constitute a foundation for their growth into competent and responsible business managers.

Eligibility for Admission in BBS
•    Successfully completed a 12 years schooling or equivalent from any University, Board or Institution recognized by Tribhuvan University.
•    Secured a minimum of second division or minimum C grade in all subjects in the 12 years schooling or equivalent.

BBM (Bachelors in Business Management)
The BBM program of Faculty of Management, Tribhuvan University is designed to equip the students with the necessary knowledge, skills, self-confidence to assist in effective and successful management within constantly changing and highly competitive national and global business environment.
Eligibility for Admission in BBM
•    Successfully completed a 12 years schooling or equivalent from any University, Board or Institution recognized by Tribhuvan University.
•      Secured a minimum of second division or minimum C grade in all subjects in the 12 years schooling or equivalent.

Admission Criteria
Admission will be on the basis of score obtained on CMAT test conducted by Tribhuvan University and performance in personal interview.

The Management

The management team of the College/ Sec. School constitutes a board of directors headed by the chairperson. The daily administrative and academic activities are carried out under the leadership of the Principal, who is supported by directors of academics, finance and extracurricular activities. Besides, academic coordinator of the respective programs provide support for day to day academic activities of the college.
Teaching methodology

Internal Examination
The college conducts weekly class tests. Besides, the college conducts two terminal examinations in addition to term/ sent up examination during each academic year. Students have to prepare a portfolio in order to get score in the internal evaluation in the Semester programs. A students showing poor academic performance is given timely counselling and guidance. Parents are informed about the academic performance of their children. A students who is unable to pass the term/ sent up exam in any one subject is not allowed for the board exam unless re-examination on the subject is taken.

The MBS program (Semester system) has been launched in order to enable the students to work as competent managers and to meet the higher level demand within an organization. This program also aims to develop the personality of the students enrolled and also to prepare them for the upcoming days.

Eligibility for Admission in MBS

The students applying for admission to MBS course must have successfully completed the BBS program or a bachelor degree on any discipline from Tribhuvan University or from any other Univesity recognized by Tribhuvan University.
Admission Criteria
Selection is based on the CMAT Score and the performance in personal interview.
