Kora Bhaktapur, organized by Cycle Connect Bhaktapur and primarily sponsored by Nepal Eco Panel, is set for Saturday, Shrawan 5. Under the slogan "Pedestrian and Pedal Friendly City," the event will see thousands of cyclists from various districts and abroad participating. The goal is to establish Bhaktapur as a national and international cycling destination, with over one thousand participants already registered. Sumit Bala, President of Cycle Connect Bhaktapur, mentioned that more than 100 women have registered, marking a historic participation record. Since starting in Kathmandu in 2011, the Kora Cycling Challenge has expanded to over 20 cities in Nepal and internationally, including Singapore, Australia, Germany, the USA, and India. The main objective of hosting the Kora Cycling Challenge in Bhaktapur is to elevate the city’s profile nationally and internationally through an established cycling program. This event promotes health awareness and environmentally friendly transportation.
